Job Summary:
Provides strategic financial leadership and support to the assigned strategic business unit or functional area through the evaluation of existing and newly planned service lines. Recommends and leads efforts to improve the overall financial performance within the strategic business unit. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the budgeting process for the assigned strategic business unit/functional area, to include detailed volume, revenue and expense projections from core services and proposed new business initiatives. Works with executive leadership in directing the strategic and annual business planning process as well as monitors and reports implementation successes and recalibration needs to key leadership. Identifies and helps implement highest potential opportunities for market growth. Maintains checks on financial expenditures and prudent utilization of resources. Monitors, analyzes, and presents opportunities to enhance new business implementations/initiatives/campaigns. Evaluates and challenges current practices and methods for reporting and analyzing information, developing and implementing solutions and improving practices.
Up holds the standards of the System-wide customer service program.
Required Qualifications:
MBA, MHA, or CPA with focus in healthcare management, finance, or operations
Five years financial management experience which includes program planning, financial and productivity analysis, and reporting systems
Five years formal management experience.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with various levels of the organization to include executives, physicians, peers and subordinates.
Demonstrates highly developed critical and creative thinking skills
Highly organized and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
Demonstrated written and oral presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare finance experience
Experience working in a marketing role
Demonstrated ability to think creatively about ways to tap new lines of business
Experience in tracking effectiveness of new business ideas.
